- MemSim: A Membrane Dynamics Simulator
-
- If you don't want to read all the documentation, here is a brief summary of the important points:
-
- • MemSim requires a 68020 or better and an FPU (or emulator) to run.
-
- • MemSim requires at least a portable-sized screen for correct output.
- Color surfaces can be displayed on machines with color Quickdraw.
- They look best in 256-color mode.
-
- • If you don't like the palettes, change them with ResEdit; just make sure
- they contain 35 color entries.
-
- • A velocity source of 0 corresponds to fastening a part of the membrane
- to an immobile reference.
-
- • The granularity determines how many sections the membrane will be
- divided into for simulation purposes; the geometry determines the
- actual shape of the surface.
-
- • Use the example setting files to see how to set up sources. Note that
- they can be drawn or entered numerically.
-
- • Read the documentation if you want a more detailed explanation of
- what's going on.
-
- • If you want the source code as an example, or a version that will run
- without an FPU (which is faster than this version running through an
- emulator), send a note, a disk, and an SASE along with your
- shareware fee.
-
- • This program is shareware. Feel free to distribute it as long as you
- include all the documentation. If you like it, please send $10 to:

- If you use it but don't want to send $10, at least send a postcard or
- something.
